Questions
Common questions
Are all Monarch Security officers SIA licensed?
Yes. Every officer deployed on a licensable activity holds a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence appropriate to the role — typically Security Guard or Door Supervisor, and Close Protection where required. We verify licences before deployment and monitor expiry dates.
Where do you provide security services?
We cover England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Major cities are served by dedicated regional networks; smaller towns are covered via mobile and rapid-deployment teams. Request a quote with your postcode for a precise response.
How quickly can you mobilise officers?
For planned contracts we typically onboard within 5–10 working days, including site surveys and briefings. Emergency security can often be mobilised the same day or next day depending on location and role requirements.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing reflects role type, hours, location, risk profile, and whether cover is static, mobile, or technology-led. We quote transparently with clear hourly or shift rates and no hidden mobilisation fees on standard contracts. See our pricing and hourly rates pages for indicative figures.
Is there a minimum contract length or hours?
Emergency and short-term cover can be arranged by the shift. Ongoing contracts usually start from a defined weekly hour commitment so we can guarantee consistent officers and quality. We will recommend a sensible minimum after reviewing your risk.
What insurance do you carry?
Monarch Security maintains public liability, employers’ liability, and professional indemnity cover appropriate to manned guarding and related services. Certificates of insurance are available on request for procurement and tender processes.
How are officers vetted?
Officers undergo identity checks, SIA licence verification, right-to-work checks, and employment referencing in line with BS 7858 principles. Enhanced checks are applied where the client or site risk requires them.
What reporting do we receive?
Depending on the service, you receive digital incident reports, patrol check-in logs (GPS-verified where applicable), daily occurrence book summaries, and monthly management information. We can align formats to your facilities or risk systems.
Do you install CCTV or only monitor it?
We provide remote CCTV monitoring and can advise on camera placement and alarm integration. Physical installation is delivered via vetted technology partners so you receive a joined-up solution without vendor lock-in on hardware.
Can we adjust or cancel cover?
Flexible short-term assignments can usually be adjusted with reasonable notice. Longer contracts include clear variation and termination terms in the agreement so both parties understand notice periods and any standby obligations.
How do I apply to work as a security officer?
Visit our Careers page or Become a Security Partner portal to register. You will need a valid SIA licence (or be willing to obtain one), right to work in the UK, and to complete our onboarding and vetting process.
Can my security company partner with Monarch Security?
Yes. Established SIA-approved contractors can join our partner network to receive job opportunities via the Guard Portal. Apply through Become a Security Partner and our partnerships team will review your credentials.
What counts as emergency security?
Emergency cover includes sudden officer shortages, urgent vacant property protection, incident response, and short-notice event requirements. Contact us by phone for urgent mobilisation, or submit a quote marked as urgent.
How long until I receive a quote?
Most standard enquiries receive a tailored quote within one business day. Complex multi-site or tender responses may take longer; we will confirm timescales when we acknowledge your request.
How do you handle personal data?
We process personal data in line with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Incident footage and visitor logs are retained only as long as necessary for security, legal, and contractual purposes.
